When you play the Mega Millions game on the Carnival Lotto site you are betting on the outcome of the Mega Millions l draw. Carnival Lotto is not connected or affiliated to the operator of Mega Millions and we are not buying a ticket for these lotteries on your behalf.

These Rules apply when You play the Mega Millions Game. The Carnival Lotto Terms and Conditions (the Terms), the Lottery Betting Rules and the Lottery Operator’s Rules apply in addition to these Rules.

1.1 Mega Millions lottery is managed by Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) and usually takes place on Tuesday and Friday evenings in USA, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

1.2 You can place a Bet on Mega Millions as late as the time announced in the Carnival Lotto site before that night’s draw.

1.3 To play Mega Millions, You should fill in the interactive play slip for Mega Millions. Choose 5 numbers from the main pool of 1–70 and 1 further numbers from 1–25. You can also select the Lucky Dip option and this will choose a line for you randomly. Once you have chosen your numbers, select which draw you want to play, either Tuesday or Friday, the number of weeks and press Play.

1.4 Once your bet has been accepted it will be shown as “Confirmed” in Your “Account” section.  If the bet status is “Pending” your bet has not been placed, if your bet remains in a pending state for more than five minutes contact Carnival Lotto Support.

How to Win Mega Millions

2.1. If your Mega Millions bet matches any of the Prize categories in the table in 2.2 below, You will win a Prize in the highest relevant Prize category, subject to these Rules, the Terms and the Lottery Operator’s Rules.

2.3. After the Mega Millions results are announced, winnings are calculated and transferred to your Player Account. This usually happens within 24 hours of the Draw.

2.4. Carnival Lotto calculates the Winnings for each bet accordingly to section 3 of the Lottery Betting Rules.

2.5. Results can be checked on the Carnival Lotto website, and independently via the Mega Millions website.

2.6. Winnings generated by your Mega Millions bet will be published in the Carnival Lotto website and taken from the operator, after deductions and any applicable administration fees for tiers 1,2,3 and 4.  See Lottery Betting Rules. All tiers will displayed in Carnival.

Payment Process

2.7. Winnings in Tier 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be paid directly to you, after validation, by our betting partner who levy an administration fee see Lottery Betting Rules. All other tiers will be paid by Carnival Lotto without an administration fee.

Payout Cap

2.8. The maximum Jackpot that can be won when placing a bet on Mega Millions through the Carnival Lotto site is determined by our underlying insurance, less any administration fee see Lottery Betting Rules. If the Underlying Lottery exceeds this amount, Carnival Lotto will only announce the Jackpot cap. This is a pool bet meaning the jackpot is shared if there are multiple winners, see lottery betting rules for example winning illustrations.

Administration Fee

2.9. The Administration fee levied by our betting partner applicable on tiers 1,2,3 and 4 only and equates to 1.25%.

What currency payments are made in

2.10. All Winnings are usually paid in the same currency of your bet, but may, in our absolute discretion, be paid in an alternative major currency such as Euros, or Pound Sterling.
